As a Director in our world class Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a group of talented developers in an incubator environment supporting new data product initiatives that support the key use cases for data driven solutions within the AdTech, MarTech, and Non-Advertising eco-systems. You will expertly guide the day to day activities of a team of 10+ utilizing data integration best practices for the delivery and use of targeted advertising and other data related products. In this role, you will additionally be a key stakeholder to fully vet, test, integrate, and track third party data sources, and serve as the subject matter expert for all things data. Your primary objective will be to manage a team of engineers to organize, stabilize and ultimately grow the Bazaarvoice data business globally. Key tasks will include: (1) Quality checks on how data is ingested into Bazaarvoice system through automation on data cleansing process; (2) Pixel management through automated monitoring; (3) Sign-off on usage of data through GDPR and NAI compliance (initially into U.S. markets, then expanding into overseas markets over next 9-12 month time period); and (4) API build into AdTech and MarTech worlds. This position will report into the General Manager of Global Data Products. Ideally the position will be based in Austin at the headquarters of Bazaarvoice but other locations (particularly NYC and Chicago) will be considered as well for the top candidate.



• 8+ years of Data Engineering and Software Development leadership experience
• Extensive experience working with data assets, third party data, data fuel, data API’s, data governance, data distributions pipes, data privacy … all things data
• Competencies in DaaS, MarTech, AdTech, DSP’s, DMP’s, RTBs, and other Programmatic Platforms
• Demonstrated experience leading at a Director or VP level in a database marketing or Digital Media oriented company
• Demonstrated ability to manage significant budgets, vendors, and contract relationships
• Proven ability to lead new product development teams in an incubator environment
• Proven engineering experience managing, growing, and monetizing data assets in new sectors with significant potential for revenue expansion
• Superior respect and reputation in the industry as a custodian of data able to compile, manage, analyze, and monetize across new ecosystems
• Collaborative mindset able to partner with key stakeholders in Products, Sales and Technology
• Strong senior level project management skills with willingness to “roll up sleeves”
• Strong customer facing communication skills, both written and verbal
• Bachelor of Science degree with post-graduate degree preferred



• Own, manage and maintain direct and indirect data integrations to DSP’s, DMP’s, third party data suppliers, technology partners, and other end users who want to use Bazaarvoice data fuel to enhance, grow, and improve their existing commercial solutions
• Own, manage, and maintain the DSP mapping table where appropriate
• Create and execute the Safe Haven data flow for our DaaS /MarTech clients
• Evaluate, analyze, integrate, and recommend third party data sources for growing Bazaarvoice data scale, coverage, and quality
• Adhere to all technical and security guidelines and laws as issued by the NAI, GDPR, and other data governance and privacy regulators
• Monitor all things regarding data rights and usage, data scale, data distribution, match rates, pixel management, and data coverage globally
• Work cross-functionally with partners at all levels in Product, Sales, Product Marketing, Delivery, Operations, People & Talent, Finance and our Privacy Officer
• Conduct research and feasibility studies on new data technologies and make determinations on the probability and timing of implementation
• Research competitive data products and recommend new opportunities for improvement
• Manage development and technology budgets
• Assess, mentor, motivate and develop the engineering team
