Eric Galvan serves as an Administrative Assistant and Panorama Secretariat, based in the firm’s Nashville office. Prior to joining Buffkin/Baker, Eric helmed the role as Global Copyright Administrator for Sony/ATV Music Publishing where he created and managed contracts and song catalog databases for a wide variety of songwriters/artists including Taylor Swift, George Harrison, Camila Cabello, Pharrell Williams, and Niall Horan.
Prior to his career in Music Publishing, Eric served as a Museum Educator at the historic Ryman Auditorium where he facilitated touring sessions with the general public in addition to leading tour seminars where he educated young musicians on the operations of live music venues.
Additionally, he served as the A&R Research Coordinator and Tour Support for Concord Music Group, where he tracked and analyzed prospective artists’ sales and social media data to evaluate their potential earning power for the label. In addition, he worked alongside concert promoters from world-renowned venues such as Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, and The Hollywood Bowl to market artists’ national tour dates.
Eric is a Board Member of Popoff Nashville, Nashville’s only pop music movement as well as Brand Ambassador/A&R Consultant for the “Nashville Is Not Just Country Music” initiative which showcases rising Nashville-based Pop/R&B/Hip-Hop talent and fosters a community of artists and fans within these genres. Eric is also a regular vocalist and Chaplain for the Gospel Music Workshop of America (Nashville Chapter), an international music workshop and convention founded by Rev. James Cleveland.
Eric holds a BA in Entertainment Industry Studies from Belmont University. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Eric relocated to Nashville in 2012. He is a professional background vocalist and is very active in the Music & Worship Arts department at his local church.
